承接上一個post，熟悉 Martin 結他嘅人可能會發現呢個下弦枕有啲特別。因為呢個下弦枕俾人加工過，用嚟適應標準調音（E-A-D-G-B-E）。呢支結他係 Martin 5 "Terz" 結他，一般調音係（G-C-F-Bb-D-G），比標準調高三個音階。另一位維修師傅喺原有下弦枕上加咗另一塊牛骨，咁樣就可以根據標準調音調整音準。係一個好特別嘅處理手法～

Guitar Repair Diary #404 "Dealing with Vintage Martin Glue-In Saddle" 2nd part

Continuing on from our last post, those familiar with Martin guitars may notice something unusual about this saddle. It has been modified to accommodate standard tuning. This particular guitar is a Martin style 5 "Terz" guitar, which is normally tuned to G, three steps higher than standard tuning. Another luthier added an extra piece of cow bone saddle to the original one so that the intonation could be adjusted for standard tuning. What a fantastic modification!
