一體式琴頸普遍喺高價位嘅結他上見到。傳統品牌Martin同Gibson都會用呢種方法製造琴頸，好多人認為一體式琴頸喺聲音傳遞方面表現出色。不過由於木材紋理嘅關係，呢類琴頸比較容易變形同斷裂。

Taylor結他1999年之前嘅款式都會採用一體式琴頸。而且琴頸嘅工藝非常出色。我哋接觸過好多1999年之前嘅Taylor結他琴頸，仲保持住好直。

而家嘅Taylor結他已經唔會再用呢種一體式琴頸，而係使用三塊接口嘅scarf joint琴頸。呢個設計節省材料，同時提供更堅固嘅結構支撐。

p.s. 呢支Taylor結他採用咗Nitro Finish。我哋認為呢種塗層會經歷更靚嘅舊化效果，比起現代嘅紫外線固化塗層更出色！

Guitar Repair Diary #436 "One Piece Taylor neck"

One-piece necks are typically found in higher-priced guitars. Traditional brands like Martin and Gibson also employ this method to craft their guitar necks. Many people consider one-piece necks to be exceptional in transmitting sound. However, due to the natural patterns of wood grain, these necks are more susceptible to deformation and breakage.

Taylor guitars made before 1999 used one-piece necks. The craftsmanship of their necks was superb. We've come across several Taylor guitar necks from that era, and they still maintain an impressively straight shape.

In the present day, Taylor guitars no longer feature this particular style of one-piece necks. They have transitioned to using three-piece scarf joint necks, which not only save on materials but also offer enhanced structural strength.

*p.s. This Taylor guitar has a Nitro Finish. We believe it develops an even more beautiful aging appearance compared to the modern UV-cured finishes!
